It’s that time of the year again! Festival season has started, and mine started the best way possible: in the desert. Although I don’t attend too many music festivals throughout the year, this one I can never pass up. It’s the best feeling: in the heat, surrounded by palm trees lit up in different colors. So photogenic, and so much fun! So I figured I’d take you there with me. At the festival I try to be mostly in the present, I want to spend more time actually enjoying it rather than being on my phone. Because in the end, the great memories are what matter most! It’s all about convenience, not having to worry about a thing. And that usually starts in the preparations! So I’m sharing some of those with you today – as what you usually see is what happens at certain events or festivals but not what I do just before.

This year I took it all a bit slower, because I just wanted to enjoy it all a bit more! Every day started with a lovely breakfast in my hotel’s garden. Coffee, coffee, coffee! Followed by a dip in the pool, because: why not. Since New York is still freezing, I might as well enjoy the sunshine for a bit, no? And in a place as pretty as Palm Springs, it’s hard not to spend most time outside. And then, when it’s time to start prepping for the festival – I want tackle things the same way basically: minimal effort maximal results! And taking an Uber to the festival grounds is definitely a part of that. Sometimes I wonder what I did before Uber existed. And I know that sounds dramatic, but it’s true – it’s just so convenient! So in Palm Springs it’s pretty common to use Uber to get around, and as most of you know, this is an app that picks you up right where you are, and drop you off where you want to go, you just need to order the car through your ride request app. So the convenience I have back in New York, I took with me to the desert this year. You don’t have to worry about parking, or about not being able to grab a drink at the festival, it’s just as easy as back at home. This year the Uber Zone drop off/pick up location, at 49th and Monroe, has gotten a big upgrade. It’s basically a lounge area where you can charge your phones, hang on one of the couches, grab a refreshment and basically have fun while you wait instead of having to stand in line for ages. Plus, fun fact for all of you Instagrammers out there, it’s pretty photogenic too. And it has super easy access to the festival grounds, just follow the yellow path and you’ll be there in a heartbeat. Hassle free and convenient: the best way to start and end a fun day no?
