Happy new year to you guys! May 2016 bring you all you wish for (and more)! I, for one, am very excited for the new year. It does feel like a clean slate, no? Obviously you can start over every single day of the year, but the first day of a new year feels like the right time to do so. 2015 was pretty good, with my wedding as major highlight! Awesome collaborations work wise, some of them I hope to continue this year. Exciting things to come! But apart from that, I do feel 2016 is gonna be even better. I’m not the one to look back too much, I prefer looking forward. I want that! It’s going to be the first full year I can call Ralph my husband, of which I’m very proud, I’m going to be spending a lot of time in the US, basically living between New York and Amsterdam, I’m going to do a lot of traveling back and forth to new and familiar countries. We want to move apartments, but we’re still figuring out where to move to. Is it going to be NYC or Amsterdam? Maybe both? I love traveling so much so I don’t mind flying back and forth either! Very excited to be getting a head start on my airmiles with France, Madrid, Berlin and Mexico lined up in the coming few weeks. After that it’s Copenhagen and New York for another month. Super thrilled to start cracking!
I know I’m probably supposed to have a million new year’s resolutions, but I don’t really believe in those. I do have one thing I’d love to change: I need to balance out work and free time more. Take a proper holiday every once in a while, leaving my laptop at home. Invest in my friends and family, because in the end they’re all that matter! I owe it to myself and the people around me! The traveling is amazing, but really takes a toll on my free time too. But also me-time! I’ve been to the movies by myself last week for the first time in my life and it felt so good! So I’m off to a good start as we’re driving down to Northern France today for some relaxing days before the storm hits on Monday aka everyone back to their emails and offices.
