Sometimes you just get lucky. And I’m talking fashion here guys, real, fringe, back to the 90s jacket, dues fashion. This jacket though… Love at first sight, found on the same day as I bumped into my Carlina’s. I think it was my lucky day for sure! Obviously I started wearing it straight away – who could blame me? It’s the perfect 70s going on 90s piece that fits into my wardrobe just right. I told you guys before that I had a hard time deciding on my favorite fashion era, remember? Well, this piece just has it all: the 70s fringe, so hot right now, and the 90s shoulders. This jacket works perfectly with both flared and mom jeans. And I think it wouldn’t do bad with denim cut-offs in LA next month either. You might see (much) more of this one, hope you don’t mind!

My very favorite store to go to for vintage shopping in Amsterdam is Episode. I don’t always find something, but I d have my moments there. I found the sickest Nike patch leather jacket (showing you this one, finally, next week), loads of cut off 501’s, the bandana scarf (stay tuned), but also think vintage Adidas, Nike, Converse etc. They literally have everything, but you have to get lucky (yes again) with the sizing. Most of the pieces are way too big for me, but sometimes, if you just keep on looking, you do find the right one. My friends tell me they’re not as good in vintage shopping. But I think patience, people, is the key. If you want to find gems, you shouldn’t expect them to fly to you once you enter the store. Go in every now and then, sometimes you will find something and sometimes you don’t. That “surprise” factor is just the fun of it too, I think. You can expect some effort if you want to find unique pieces right?
